Is Jasper County Safe Anymore?


Welcome to my maiden voyage into the land of blogging.  Why? you say -- because I am flat pissed off.  In the 8 years of the Obama administration our judicial system has lost their ever lovin' mind.

As a taxpayer, voter and citizen of Jasper County I am very concerned about some things going on within the 29th Judicial District Court System (Jasper County).  If you aren't knowledgeable in the way things trickle down here is a short lesson -- everything starts with the Jasper County Commissioners -- your tax dollars pay their salary.  Come to think of it our tax dollars pay a lot of the salaries around here - sheriff, deputies, judges, court clerks, and that ever so loved county employee who stands there where they are doing road work with that sign that says "stop" on one side and "slow" on the other side.

Case.net -- in my retirement years you would think I'd be in Texas in the winter and somewhere north in the summer, but no, I like to set and watch Family Feud and read casenet.  Do you have any idea how much info you can glean about a person?

The comments I read on the News Talk 1310 KZRG Facebook page tells you that people are upset about Moses Ramsey and Artilius Jordan's past record and I have a feeling it is the beginning of a trend -- a trend no law abiding person will like.  Case in point - (and this is all public record from case.net) Dacoda J Bittner 17AO-CR00529 was charged with Resisting, a Felony E.  Arrest was made on May 20, 2017, on his fourth appearance in court he was Released On His Own Recognances, he made two more court dates, and on November 9 he failed to appear, and on November 22 he failed to appear and a warrant was issued.  Now, if you go look at the rest of Mr. Bittner's  problems in court you will find that he had two probation violations filed against him in 16AO-CR00752-01(Burglary) and 16AO-CR00816-01 (Receiving Stolen Property) and guess what, the judge Released him On His Own Recognances in both those cases.  Mr. Bittner has 3 warrants for his arrest, has not been to court since October 4, 2017 and has not been picked up that I can tell.  Now for the kicker, casenet says he lives in Carl Junction. 

So why hasn't he been arrested?  3 warrants, lives in Carl Junction, are they just waiting on a traffic stop to get lucky and arrest him?

    Free speech! Yeah JCJanie!!! You missed Artilius Jordan had shot Corey Walstead in 2015 5 times at his apartment but he was back on the streets to allegedly murder Sean Harris Christmas Eve on South Byers Ave. Artilius is charged with a litany of charges as well as first-degree murder. He will be gone from Joplin forever hopefully if they change his venue. No other county would let someone walk around with so many charges.

    Watch @JoplinNewsFirst soon for a special we are working on...where the murders were hiding for days after the murder where police couldn't find them. Fascinating. We are thinking of calling it, "Inside the Murder's Hideout"! Just waiting on clearance from the property owner and one more interview -shannon becker

WOW - guess I hit a nerve and pissed some people off  with last week's blog.  Here  is a fact for you - Indiana spends more on its jails than it does on education for its children.  Maybe if they spent all that money in teaching their children right from wrong they wouldn't have big ol jails. Oooops,They Did it Again: No Justice for Jasper County Victims

Back on May 2, 2018 I let you know about the saga of John Doe and Mr. Got Dad's Money -- the 70 year old man that Mr. Got Dad's Money turned around and came back to beat the crap out of and he was never charged.    I saw John Doe last weekend -- still wearing the bruises from that beat down AND here is something else Mr. Got Dad's Money should be real proud of -- he beat an elderly man who walks with cane.   At this point all I can say about the Prosecuting Attorney is God will take care of this in the end, hope you and Mr. Money can explain it then!  However, our APPOINTED Prosecuting Attorney will have another one to add to the list of "REALLY?"!   Mr. Landowner owns an empty lot across the street from Mr. Renter. More and more I am seeing bonds that are being issued by the judges as "10% cash required to the court".   Here are 4 just off the Jasper County Sheriff's Office roster: 1.  Cody Proffitt - 18AO-CR00761 - Stealing Controlled Substance -  D Felony $3,000 - 10% cash required 2.  Jesse Sprinkle - 17AO-CR01562-01 - 2nd/Assault - B Felony $15,000 - 10% cash required 3.  Darrell Towne - 18AO-CR00882 - Domestic Assault - E Felony $10,000 - 10% cash required 4.  Scott Troutman - 18AO-CR00490-01 - Attempted Burglary/Receive Stolen Prop/ Assault C Felony $35,000 - 10% cash required With these type bonds the defendant posts 10% of the bond with the court and gets a 90% discount for the rest.  Remember from past articles I have told you that when a defendant is on bond with a bondsman and takes off, they have to find him or pay the entire amount of the bond, 100% to...
