But Somebody Died?

Monday 4-9-18 the Jasper County jail count was 266 inmates.  That is 86 more human beings than the jail was intended to hold.  I think Mr. Bartosh, a few judges,  the prosecutor, and various and sundry office staff need to rethink things cause something definitely isn't working.

My very first blog 12-29-17 was centered around Moses Ramsey and Artilius Jordan and guess who made the righthand column on the front page of the Joplin Globe Friday 4-6-18 - CORRECT - Moses Ramsey and Artilius Jordan - charged with the shooting death of Sean Harris.

So Moses Ramsey's charges were dropped (yes, you read that right), and he will testify against Jordan.  Ramsey is no stranger to problems with the law, with charges of Possession of Controlled Substances and Domestic Assault.

I've read the article in the Globe several times and it really does play like something out of the movies.  Two guys are headed for Oklahoma on Christmas Eve and stop at a 3rd guys house to eat and get some drugs, after eating they give the 3rd guy a ride to his car that needs a jump.  The 2 drive the 3rd one around and pick up his girlfriend so they can get some of her money at an ATM (bet it was actually some of our taxpayer dollars) but surprise, there is only $50 bucks on the card.  So back in the vehicle to go confront who took the money and shoot him, then get back in the vehicle and take off, pulling over to pistol whip the girlfriend. During the beating, the gun goes off and one of the original 2 gets shot.  Beavis & Butthead - Laurel & Hardy - Martin & Lewis - Abbott & Castillo.  Would almost be funny if it wasn't so stupid.

Guess there really isn't any honor among thieves.  But hey, that's one less inmate in jail, and he wasn't RELEASED ON HIS OWN RECOGNIZANCE.
